This piece is an 11" x 15" original watercolor of maple leaves on 300 pound arches watercolor paper. I have some waterdrops on the leaves and added a soft unfocused background. This and the smaller Momiji Memories are studies for my next big work on the same subject. I used Alizarin Crimson for Momiji Magic and realized that Alizarin Crimson is a fugitive color, which means it can fade over time. I have ordered Permanent Alizarin Crimson for the 30" by 22" work which will not fade over time.
